Not exactly competition for the professional Vloggers out there, but just a few videos from some of my cruising experiences. I should mention that the Transglobe video covers the entire round the world adventure and I was only on for one leg. But I was behind the camera during the lightning moment!
My first long distance trip as Skipper was a terrific opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of navigating different weathers, countries and landfalls, as well as throwing in some memorable sight seeing.
New toy, new challenges, new perspective.
I also managed to join a JSASTC Transglobe exercise in January 2010, for the leg between Hobart, in Tasmania, through to Auckland in New Zealand. What an opportunity.
A brief compilation from some of the legs of the most recent Joint Service Adventure Sail Training Centre's Transglobe exercise. Sail training perfectly captures the general aspect of operational deployments - you have to get on with your team mates, lots of it is mundane, a small portion is pretty adrenaline fuelled, and then there are the brief moments of terror. What's not to like about it!
Three clients of First Class Sailing enjoying (I hope) a very wet and windy sailing experience in the Solent, 1 November 2020.
